one-to-one

The bedrock of my work is offering one-to-one counsel and support. I am an integrative, body and movement-oriented psychotherapist (accred. MNCPS), specialising in ecologically-rooted practice.

For nearly a decade I have worked outside in public spaces evolving and deepening my practice, as well as on tenanted, regenerative land in North Derbyshire for fieldworking. My second book Weathering documents this period. I am also a sound therapist (accred. CoSH), mentor, author/writer and creative practitioner with my own ‘everyday’ art practice. I hold a PhD in Geology, and this geological way of thinking underpins much of my work and my approach to process - long, slow, ever evolving.

My interests are rooted in existential enquiry or Mysticism, ecopsychology, transpersonal spirituality, embodied and somatic practice as well as depth psychology. My influences and trainings run wide and deep, but are all oriented around a core of presence and witness.

I welcome people of all faiths (or none). My work is trauma-informed, trans-inclusive and I work regularly with neurodivergent individuals.

I work one-to-one in the following ways:

  • Counselling and psychotherapy

  • Creative and professional mentoring

  • Witnessing & listening presence

  • Sound therapy (privately and in community settings)

  • Dream tending and incubation (sleeping dreams)

  • End of life support (palliative care through sound and/or companionship)

Mentoring specialisms & interests

The following non-exhaustive list will give you a sense of the sort of work I mentor:

  • Bringing worlds together - Interdisciplinary / hybrid career braiding and development

  • Writing mentoring - non-fiction, poetry, memoir, body & nature/place-based writing
